The aerial 3D image display technology used in this study has the potential to provide a lifelike viewing experience of figurines, cultural assets, and other objects without the need for the actual objects. However, if there is a lack of consistency in the shading between the viewer's hand and the aerial image, the sense of reality of the aerial image is lost. To address this issue, this study faithfully reproduced a pre-set physical lighting environment in the CG space and generated the shadow of the operator's hand in real time, thereby giving the aerial image a consistent shading. The effectiveness of the proposed method was verified by comparing the generated aerial image with a 3D-printed real object. |
