We report a full-frame global shutter CMOS image sensor using pixel-parallel ADCs with a high-resolution of 25.2M pixels. A high-speed readout of all pixels at 120 frames/s is realized with a low power consumption of 1545 mW for battery operated consumer cameras and a random noise of 2.66 e-rms at 0dB gain with 14-bit accuracy. The sensor achieves an FoM (e-rms∙pJ/step) of 0.083, which is comparable to the state-of-the-art rolling shutter image sensors designed for full-fledged consumer cameras. |
