Experiment of moiré reduction by modification of aperture shape for near virtual-image mode light field display

(in English) We previously proposed a technique to suppress moiré by modification of the aperture shape in the near virtual-image mode light field displays from a simple slit to a zigzag slit. In this study, we designed a zigzag aperture shape to suppress moiré and conduct an experiment. The optimized zigzag aperture shape was designed through simulations, taking into account the minimum line width of photolithography. We evaluated the moiré using a prototype of the light field display with the designed aperture shape. Experimental results showed that the designed zigzag aperture reduced the moiré compared to the conventional slanted slit shape.
