Uniform Luminance of Light Passing through a Fine-Pitch Linear Fresnel Lens Array by Superimposing Mask Patterns

(in English) In autostereoscopic displays using a fine-pitch interleaved linear Fresnel lens array, a problem arises where a grid-like pattern appears due to differences in the luminance of transmitted light between the central and peripheral regions of the elemental lenses, leading to a degradation in image quality. In this study, we propose a method to homogenize the luminance of light passing through the lens array by printing a mask pattern on an OHP sheet and superimposing it onto a two-layer fine-pitch interleaved linear Fresnel lens array.
