The Proteus effect refers to the influence of using an avatar’s appearance on users’behavioral characteristics. As a case study, various studies have been conducted on the changes in behavior and psychological effects, but it is highly likely that the effects are temporary. In this study, we will clarify to what extent the Proteus effect caused by avatars persists. Subjects were asked to exercise using multiple avatars, and subjective fatigue and heart rate were measured to examine the effects of the avatars. |
