We are exploring Glitch Art, which is based on the destructive manipulation of data. As part of this study, we propose a fusion of Glitch Art and games, with the goal of making the process of creating Glitch Art enjoyable with a sense of gameplay. Specifically, we will make it possible to create Glitch Art from digital images using fighting games and shooting games. These games are thought to have a high affinity with Glitch Art, in that players attack and defeat opponents. This study sublimates the destructive act of meaningless data in the process of creating Glitch Art in the gameplay and also sublimates the monotonous attacking gameplay into art creation. |
