In live music performances, lighting effects are typically controlled by pre-programmed scenes
that change according to predetermined cues. However, this approach makes it difficult to adapt to improvised solos during a performance. To address this issue, this study proposes a system that allows performers to control stage lighting in real-time using foot-operated controls while playing. This enables musicians to dynamically manipulate the lighting, providing greater flexibility in responding to improvisational elements. By introducing a new method of expression not found in conventional lighting control systems, this research aims to enhance the visual impact of live performances. |
