A method for expressing dog grooming in a video game using toon rendering.

In video games and animation, there are many scenes in which dog-themed characters have their fur stroked. In this study, we define this act of stroking fur as "grooming." However, in video games using toon rendering, the grooming expressions seen in hand-drawn animation are simplified. Also, video games that provide a simulated grooming experience have the problem of a lack of freedom of choice on the part of the player. In this study, we reproduce the dog grooming expressions seen in hand-drawn animation in a video game using toon rendering, and study interactive expression methods for video games. |
