A multi-junction solar cell is a solar cell that can utilize light of any wavelength band for power generation by layering solar cells. Multi-junction solar cells have high power generation efficiency but are very expensive. Highly efficient power generation can be achieved by focusing on the light and reducing the cell area. Therefore, in this study, we have proposed cylindrical liquid crystal lenses which are new as liquid crystal lenses. And we aimed to concentrate sunlight using cylindrical liquid crystal lenses and investigated the liquid crystal alignment of the cylindrical lenses used to concentrate the light. As a result, we clarified the liquid crystal alignment that concentrates light to a single point and corrects aberrations. |
