Development of Sn-based and In-based transparent conductive materials for ultraviolet light-emitting devices

The aim is to shift the forbidden band width to the higher energy side by replacing part of the tin oxide and indium oxide used in existing transparent conductive films with wide-gap oxide constituent elements. The results of the forbidden band width calculated using first-principles calculations are fed back into sample preparation to develop materials with more suitable compositions. As a result, the possibility of forming an ultraviolet-transmitting conductive film by using a mixed crystal of indium oxide and aluminum oxide has been discovered. |
