Photocatalysis is a technology that converts light energy into chemical energy, and is expected to be applied in various areas such as water and air purification, antibacterial, hydrogen production, and carbon dioxide reduction, and is attracting attention as a technology that contributes to solving energy and environmental problems. However, single photocatalysts have low energy efficiency due to the fact that light absorption is limited to ultraviolet light and that excited electron-hole pairs recombine, limiting their practical application in industrial applications. In this study, we attempted to improve the energy efficiency by forming a heterojunction of g-C3N4 and SnS2, a visible light photocatalyst, using a wet chemistry method. For further improvement of energy efficiency, heterojunction-type thin films were prepared by chemical vapor deposition method. |
