With the recent spread of wireless communication devices such as smartphones, it is important to evaluate electromagnetic radiation exposure to the human body. In previous studies, numerical simulations of electromagnetic exposure to the human body have been conducted using numerical human body models and detailed smartphone models that simulate actual terminals in detail. However, the miniaturization and advanced functionality of terminals have made numerical modeling of smartphones a significant time-consuming issue. Therefore, we have developed a simple method for constructing a numerical smartphone model focusing on the specific absorption rate (SAR), which is an index for safety evaluation. In this study, the simplified smartphone model constructed by this method is applied to SAR evaluation using a numerical human body model, and its validity has been confirmed. |
