To make a virtual "space" created using video communication and virtual reality technologies into a "place" where people can interact sustainably, it is necessary to enable users to implement appropriate functions and social norms in the space and to anticipate what will happen in that space. To clarify appropriate functions and social rules, qualitative research method is effective. This presentation will show the effectiveness of qualitative research by presenting examples of research on a telepresence robot system that supports remote collaboration and an interview study to clarify the factors for building friendships in social VR. |
