This study utilized gamification design to develop an application to promote return visits to Kenrokuen Garden. Micro-tourism to local communities was the focus of attention in the Covid-19 pandemic. This study focusing on Kenrokuen and introduces a gamification design that utilizes a game's motivation continuation mechanism as a mechanism to encourage tourists who have visited the garden once to return. The developed application was designed to motivate tourists to return by rewarding them with a badge system that evaluates their behavior in terms of the number of visits, the percentage of photo spots reached, the percentage of the four seasons traversed, and so on. The design intent of the developed application and the results of the operation verification will be reported. |
