A Study on Aerial Display Observable from Both Directions

(in English) With DCRA-based aerial displays, it has been difficult for more than one person to observe the aerial image due to its characteristics. In previous research, two displays with synchronized images were used so that two observers could each manipulate the same aerial image. However, since the two aerial images do not exist at the same position in the real space, the feeling of collaborative manipulation is lost. In this study, we propose an aerial display that combines DCRA and IP to enable two aerial images of the same point to be observed from different directions. Through experiments, we measured the misalignment of the two aerial images.
