Abstract (in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
(in English) In integral three-dimensional (3D) display, there is a trade-off relationship between viewing angle, resolution, and depth reproduction range. In integral 3D display with an optically narrow viewing angle and increased light density, if elemental images are generated adaptively to the observer's viewpoint using eye-tracking technology, an equivalently wide system viewing range can be achieved. However, when eye-tracking lost occurs due to deterioration of lighting conditions of the observer's face, motion blur, or movement of the face outside the angle of view of the eye-tracking camera, a discontinuous and unnatural viewing zone is formed. This paper uses inertial sensor information in combination with conventional face image detection to achieve a more robust eye-tracking function.
