This paper presents a performance improvement of a quadruple Push-Push oscillator by using microstrip-line resonators. The proposed oscillator consists of four sub-oscillators, a ring resonator, and four microstrip-line resonators whose length is half wavelength at the 2nd harmonic frequency. The output signal is the 4th harmonic signal. As the microstrip-line resonators stabilize the electromagnetic field in the ring resonator, the output power and phase noise characteristics are improved. In this paper, we confirmed the improvement of the characteristics by simulation. |
