This report introduces a method for restoring microwave radar river observation images using spatiotemporal total variation regularization. Focusing on the impact of heavy rainfall-induced river overflow, a major natural disaster, observations using microwave radar are not affected by weather conditions. They aim to determine the surface undulation and flow velocity of rivers continuously, day and night. This research project utilizes microwave radar for weather-independent observations, aiming to capture continuous river surface fluctuations and flow velocities. However, image quality issues, such as low resolution and blurring, arise. The proposed image restoration method addresses these challenges, considering attenuation of reflection intensity and blurring during data visualization. In this report, the temporal resolution is improved by considering the time axis information. |
