[Invited Talk] Multimodal flexible sensor system

(in English) Due to drastic progress on Internet of Things (IoT) with machine learning and/or artificial intelligence, data collections are more important for the future advanced society. One potential way for this is to use flexible sensor, which is mechanically bendable. Due to mechanical flexibility, the sensor can be conformably attached on non-planar surfaces without sacrificing object shape or wearability. This results that it may be possible to collect more datasets that conventional inflexible chip-based sensor cannot measure. To achieve the flexible sensor platform, this study discusses multimodal flexible sensors. In particular, two topics about wireless integrated sensor systems to collect multiple data simultaneously and multi-tasking system are introduced. Although a lot of challenges remain to address for the practical applications, it may contribute to open a next class of IoT society as a new sensor technology.
