In this paper, we propose an image sensor for privacy protection and show its basic configuration. The image sensor outputs images in which only the behavioral information of the captured object is retained and the information related to privacy is removed. The image sensor protects privacy by combining three methods: temporal coded exposure using XY addressing, spatial convolution using a folding integrator and switching matrix, and nonlinear compression of the pixel value using a variable-tone-curve A/D converter. |
