In this talk, I will introduce techniques for restoring black-and-white images and videos with high accuracy using deep neural networks. First, I will explain the basic mechanisms of the deep learning-based approaches and then introduce specific research cases, focusing on our recent works. I will also present actual applications, such as the color restoration of Claude Monet's damaged painting, and discuss current limitations. |
