We have previously proposed the light field mirage which can provide 360-degree three-dimensional images. The original mirage produces a three-dimensional image of a real object, which is placed on the lower parabolic mirror, in the hole drilled in the upper parabolic mirror. The two parabolic mirrors are replaced with multiple light field displays to create the light field mirage. The light field displays have the issue of the generation of plural flipped images. In this study, the hole of the original mirage is used to eliminate rays generating the flipped images. The experimental system was constructed using four light field displays to verify the proposed technique. |
