A note on estimation of gaze features for human emotion estimation while viewing images

This paper presents a method for estimation of gaze features for human emotion estimation while viewing images. In the proposed method, in order to realize the estimation of emotions that human might recall for unviewed images which the target human does not gaze at, gaze features are estimated for the unviewed images. Concretely, by estimating gaze features calculated from both images and gaze data, the proposed method enables calculating gaze features for the unviewed images. Especially, as an initial study, some regression methodologies are applied in this paper. Finally, human emotion can be estimated by using the estimated gaze features. Experiments of this paper show the use of the estimated gaze features is effective for human emotion estimation. |
