In this study, the fabrication of current-injection type light-emitting devices using CuAlS_2:Mn and ZnGa_2O_4:Cr polycrystalline thin films has been attempted. Both CuAlS_2:Mn and ZnGa_2O_4:Cr thin films were prepared by electron beam (EB) evaporation using their phosphor powder pellets. It is found that the CuAlS_2:Mn thin film deposited on Au film is well crystallized compared to those on SiO_2 film and quartz substrate. The deposition of a far-red emitting ZnGa_2O_4:Cr thin films is also achieved. The film is expected as the plant growth light application.
