For beginners to learn about the practical knowledge of mountain climbing, teaching materials explained with evidence are effective. In this paper, as the first step, we will examine the optimal walking pace that enables safe and efficient climbing activities by measuring the heart rate and motion during climbing activities of skilled mountaineer and beginners. As sensors that do not affect mountain climbing activities, an RRI sensor that is attached to an electrode embedded in a shirt and a three-axis acceleration sensor that is attached to the waist were used. The results of a comparison of four walking paces are reported. |
