To achieve high-quality 8K video services with high realistic sensation, we have developed 8K HEVC real-time encoder. The encoder divides 8K images into four slices, and four chips of the real-time encoder LSIs, each of which is capable of 4K/60P image processing, encode the divided images in parallel while transferring reference images near the border of divided images through PCIe bus. 8K real-time encoding is performed on one board, which makes the encoder’s size significantly smaller as 5U. |
