Propagation over terrestrial broadcasting tends to receive multipath wave from buildings or mountains. Therefore, ISDB-T adopts OFDM with guard interval . However, a high power multipath is one of the factor of causing poor reception. We are conducting research on digital terrestrial broadcasting to enable large-volume content such as Super High-Vision, and we are considering to adopt LDPC code to the forward error correction. Evaluating the performance of forward error correction not only in AWGN environment but also in multipath environment is important for terrestrial broadcasting. In this paper, we've evaluated the transmission performance of convolutional coded OFDM and LDPC coded OFDM by computer simulation using same signal structure and channel propagation . We confirmed that LDPC code can improve the transmission performance over multipath environment. |
