Performance evaluation of array head reading for head skew in TDMR

(in English) In two-dimensional magnetic recording (TDMR) by shingled magnetic recording (SMR),
two-dimensional signal processing is applied to mitigate the influence of intertrack interference (ITI).
In this report,
we evaluate TDMR R/W channel with head-skew under the specification of 4 ${rm Tbit/inch^{2}}$ by computing the bit error rate (BER) performance applying low-density parity-check (LDPC) coding and iterative decoding system with the two-dimensional equalizer using two-dimensional finite impulse response (TD-FIR) filter for multiple read-back waveforms.
The results show that our system using triple readers achieves better BER performance compared to that using dual readers at any head-skew-angle.
