Speeding up of an Arbitrary Image Magnification using the Directional Adaptive Interpolation

In resize of a picture, we had studied the operators to detect directions and 12 directional adaptive interpolation for an arbitrary image magnification. In this report, we propose speeding up of processing. We realize high speed of about three times faster without degradation of PSNR, by using tree structure. In the experiment, we perform subjective image quality assessment of magnified images by 3.8. We also evaluate the PSNR compared to the original image. By the proposed method, jaggy is reduced at the edge. PSNR value is equal to the fixed interpolation. |
