For the realization of an electronic holography with a wide viewing-zone, we have advanced development of an ultra-fine spatial light modulator driven by spin-transfer-switching, which we call Spin-SLM. In this study, we designed and fabricated Spin-SLM, which was comprised of a ten-pixel array with a fine pitch of 1 m. We have successfully observed a spin-transfer-switching in Spin-SLM. Furthermore, in order to prove the possibility of a holographic display using Spin-SLM, modulation of diffracted light in Spin-SLM was accomplished by switching with an external magnetic field, and the demonstration of reconstructed images was performed by the hologram which consists of Gd-Fe magneto-optical material. |
