A Study on 12/21GHz Dual-Band Feed for Satellite Broadcasting Receiving Antenna

The 21GHz-band satellite broadcasting system is studied for transmission channels to deliver ultra high definition TV, 3D television and so on. In order to enable to receive TV services using 12GHz- and 21GHz-band with one reflector antenna, we designed a 12/21GHz dual-band feed with a circularly polarized microstrip array antenna. The simulation result shows, that the voltage-standing-wave-ratio was less than 1.5 throughout the target range in both 12GHz- and 21GHz-band, and that the beam width of the radiation pattern in the 12GHz-band corresponded with that in the 21GHz-band. |
